ABOUT THE CLIENT
Laura Oberbeck is an actress based in New York City who recently completed acting education programs and needed a website to promote herself to agencies and directors.
In my initial interview with Laura, she described herself as the fun, quirky, funny, girl next door type, but also able to be very heartbroken, sad, and vulnerable. Three adjectives she wanted to showcase were heart, quirky, and comedic. Laura compared herself to actresses such as Zooey Deschanel, Kirsten Dunst, Kristen Bell, Amy Poehler, and Kristen Wiig.
Laura provided me with this image (above) as the main branding image in her one-woman show "Laura," which I then used as a starting point in developing her branding.
"I had an incredible experience working with Nina. She went above and beyond and truly cared about the website she was creating for me as much as I did. She was able to turn long emails of ideas I didn’t quite know how to express into a website that was on brand and exactly what I wanted but could have never dreamed of on my own. I was so impressed that she didn’t know much about the acting world and yet I have an incredible actor’s website that has been catching the eyes of industry already.
Her professionalism and hard work meant the world to me. She really knew what she was doing and why and it was so nice to just trust her to do a good job. She ended up doing more than I even imagined and I am so so happy with the end product she created.
